Lifelong Learning
For Every Age
From tots to seniors, Kol Tikvah offers learning opportunities that evolve with you. We believe growth never stops — our programs for children, teens, and adults invite you to explore, question, and connect with Jewish values at every stage of life.

TIKVAH KIDS &
TIKVAH TOTS
Tikvah Kids is our once-a-month, Sunday morning learn-and-play experience for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Children begin to learn the basics of Jewish life through arts and crafts, stories, and songs.
Tikvah Tots is a monthly drop-in play space for younger children (infants - pre-K), happening in parallel with Tikvah Kids.
Parents chat, laugh, and bond over coffee while teen volunteers play with the tots; then everyone joins together for a fun family learning experience.
Families with young children enjoy membership benefits for a fraction of the full fee.
TIKVAH LEARNING
Grades 3-7
Children in our once-a-week Tikvah Learning program are actively engaged in learning tailored to their own talents, interests, and abilities. Families appreciate our gentle, individualized approach, especially for children who thrive in smaller and more personal settings.
Each school year is divided into two semesters, with each semester having a new Jewish Studies theme. Themes are explored actively through skits, games, discussion, videos, and more, always with an emphasis on meaningful, core Jewish values. Creative art projects are woven into the semester and are then shared with the community at our end-of-semester Jamboree celebrations.
Children also gain basic siddur/prayerbook Hebrew literacy and are able to comfortably participate in Shabbat services. In addition, children receive individualized b’nai mitzvah instruction.
SCHOOL ONLY OPTION
For families of 3rd-5th graders who are not ready to commit to a full temple membership, but would like their child to begin Jewish learning, we are offering a new option: School Only, for 3rd-5th graders.

TEEN OPPORTUNITIES
Teen Volunteering
After b’nai mitzvah, our teens have many opportunities to continue their engagement and contribution to the Kol Tikvah community. Beginning in their second year of volunteering, teens are eligible to receive a modest stipend as an expression of the community’s gratitude. Current opportunities include: tutoring in Tikvah Learning, assisting in Tikvah Tots and Tikvah Kids, co-leading Shabbat services, chanting Torah and haftarah, participating actively in High Holidays services, yard work.
Teen Learning is a bi-weekly pizza lunch and conversation with Rabbi Kafka. This program was requested by a rising 8th grader! The agreement is that topics will be decided by the teens, and Rabbi prepares lesson materials as requested.
Tikvah Teens is a social program that includes activities such as movie nights, sledding, trips to Boston, baking, and more. The teens themselves plan the activities each year.
ADULT EDUCATION
Adult learning at Kol Tikvah is a chance to slow down, ask questions, and discover — or rediscover — the depth of Jewish wisdom in community.
Whether you're deepening your lifelong study, returning to Jewish learning, or just beginning your journey, Kol Tikvah offers a caring, nonjudgmental space for growth and discovery.
